Day 20: Sleepytime Style

I've been debating on whether or not my somewhat extensive collection of dressing gowns, nightgowns and vintage robes would count toward my 365 outfits. But what the heck? They're comfortable and super cute, and I love to have an excuse to show them off, since they don't get worn outside the house.

The dressing gown is 1940s cotton seersucker, zip front and one of the most comfortable things I own. It's acquired a number of strange off-seam repairs over the years, as it gets worn a LOT - and was probably someone's favorite robe to begin with.

"Dry" pin curls, to refresh my hair set and keep it overnight. There's a little setting lotion in them, but that's all.

Around the house Mexican wedges. I bought them for dancing, but they're slick, and they worn out fast, too. So they mostly just make lounging comfortable. And I can go outside to the recycling if I need to in the morning, etc, since they're more versatile than slippers.

You might notice, we didn't go out for Cinco de Mayo. Driving in and out of downtown on one of the drunkest holidays ever on a full moon seemed like a recipe for disaster. It was more fun to stay in and do reading research. Jesse and I had a really nice walk in the almost-nice weather, and then settled into comfy evening time. Good thing, too - tomorrow is hardcore work day!
